Restricting access to the mainframe is part of the OS390 Sunset project. UNM has replaced the mainframe with the Banner ERP system, and the OS390 Sunset project's main objective is successful retirement of the mainframe. Retiring the mainframe is necessary because mainframe applications are no longer being updated and mainframe resources (staff, money, etc) need to be committed to our new production system.
The above deadlines are very firm dates. If you believe that your access to these systems should be extended, please contact the ITS Support Center (http://fastinfo.unm.edu or 277-4848).
